Ch.9
I found this chapter very interesting. I took an Islam faith class in the Spring semester and I have to say that I learned a lot about the Islam faith. Islam is very similar to Christianity. Muhammad was the messenger of Allah and the muslim community see him as a prophet, just like they believe that Jesus was a prophet as well. I personally think that Islam is a beautiful religion.
Ch.11
I enjoyed reading about pastoral societies. I like that women were not treated as inferior among pastoral societies. They were given the opportunity to obtain skills and were treated the same as the men.
Ch.12
The beginning of this chapter is intense. We now now that Christopher Columbus was a bad man and that he did not discover America. He killed and used the native americans as slaves. He took advantage of them and took away what belonged to them.
